Gold Leaching
Gold leaching is a process that uses a chemical solvent, most commonly a dilute sodium cyanide solution, to dissolve gold from ore. The process begins with crushing the ore to a fine size, followed by the application of the leaching solution, either in large heaps (heap leaching) or agitated tanks (agitated tank leaching), allowing the gold to percolate and dissolve.
Gold Dump Processing
Gold dump processing, or gold tailings reprocessing, is the practice of recovering residual gold from historical mining waste (dumps) using modern, more efficient technologies. As of 2026, it remains a major trend in mining due to the high value of gold and the environmental benefits of cleaning up old sites.
Gold Milling
The gold milling process liberates gold particles from crushed ore through crushing, grinding, and a recovery method like gravity separation or chemical leaching (cyanide). The crushed ore is ground to a fine powder, and then techniques such as concentration tables, or cyanidation are used to separate the gold. Finally, the gold is recovered, often by smelting it.
